Inlays / Onlays
Do you have those unsightly, old, discolored silver-mercury fillings (amalgams) in your mouth? Imagine being able to smile again knowing in confidence that no one will know you have any fillings at all!
Amalgam fillings are 50% mercury by weight, and have been used in dentistry since the 1800’s. These fillings have multiple limitations and drawbacks, and now we have tooth restoratives that not only repair damaged teeth but actually strengthen the remaining tooth structure as well as help to restore the natural appearance.

Inlays and onlays are a conservative alternative to full coverage dental crowns. They can also be used in place of traditional dental fillings to treat tooth decay or structural damage. Whereas dental fillings are molded into place within the mouth during a dental visit, inlays and onlays are fabricated indirectly in a dental lab before being fitted and bonded to the damaged tooth.
Do Not Expand/Contract: inlays and onlays do not expand or contract (like metal fillings do) in response to temperature changes (the expansion / contraction of the filings can cause teeth to fracture)
Conserve Tooth Structure: inlays and onlays require less tooth structure reduction than metal fillings and crowns
Increase Tooth Strength by up to 75%: unlike metal fillings which dramatically weaken teeth, inlays and onlays actually increase tooth strength up to 75%
