Are you happy with the way your dentures fit? Most patients are not. There are many reasons for this – poor fit, unstable bite, and some dentures are just simply worn out.
In our office, we fabricate dentures using the neuromuscular technique we use for treating TMJ disorders. The basis for this technique lies in achieving and maintaining optimum muscle relaxation and function.
Dentures partially rest on muscles. Therefore, when the muscles are in their most relaxed position, the fit is automatically much better. Additionally, we position the bite so that the muscles are in their optimal resting position, which is the same position that provides the greatest facial support.
We consider all aspects of the patient’s appearance, including the sex, age, and face shape, and then make a customized denture that is comfortable and stable. We are able to create beautiful esthetics as well as function, and we avoid the “sunken in” look that can exists if the dentures are not made to optimum neuromuscular dimensions.
In addition to our customized full dentures, we offer a metal-free, esthetic partial denture. It is made from a flexible, tissue-colored thermoplastic material. It is almost impossible to tell your real teeth from the ones you are replacing – the results are truly remarkable.
